Martin graduated with a Certificate IV in Aviation, Diploma of Aviation, and then the Flight Instructor Rating. He joined Sydney Aviators as in instructor on graduation. He then went to the United States to fly with SkyWest Airlines. He returned home to fly with TigerAir, part of the Virgin Group and when they folded returned to the US to fly with Delta, based out of Denver Colorado.
