Scott graduated with a Commercial Pilot Licence and Command Instrument Rating and Flight Instructor Rating. He then joined Basair as an Instructor before deciding to become a Charter Pilot with Cape Air Transport. He then progressed to Cathay Pacific before returning to Australia as a pilot with Qantas on first the Boeing 737-800 and then the Airbus 321 XLR.
