Adam Dixon
First Officer on a BAE Jetstream 32
"I did all my flight training with Basair (Cessnock Campus) where I obtained a Commercial Pilot Licence and Instructor Rating. Soon after, I got my first aviation job with Basair as a Junior Gtrade 3 Flight Instructor. After instructing for some time I obtained my Instrument Rating and started to do IFR twin instructing and passenger charter. This led me to my current job as a first officer on a BAE Jetstream 32 with a regional airline.
There are many things I liked about flying with Basair. The professionalism shown by the Basair instructors was reassuring that I was getting the best training and they were always friendly and helpful. Also flying the scenic Hunter Valley and then later being able to fly down to the other base in Sydney gave me great exposure to different types of airspace.
My training was structured for me, and ran to a syllabus so it was easy to follow my progress to my goals. The instructors I had were always willing to help out in any way that they could."
Adam Dixon, August 2009
Anthony Baillie
QANTASLink
"When I decided on a career change to become a pilot, it didn't take long to find out that Basair was the clear leader. I wasn't disappointed - my training was fantastic. It was fun yet challenging at the same time. I also made a few life-long friends along the way.
My 6 years as a flying instructor with Basair was very rewarding experience and one that I will always remembe fondly. I can thank the training and work experience I gained at Basair for my career now as a pilot with QANTASLink."

Justin Clarke
Qantas International, Second Officer
“I highly recommend Basair's Advanced Diploma in Aviation course. From day one the course has proven challenging, yet highly rewarding. The enthusiastic instructors demonstrate their commitment to quality coaching and support via interactive ground lessons and exciting inflight tuition. As the Diploma class is encouraged to progress as a class it is this team environment that fosters a strong support network to ensure all students achieve their best. It is this approach to aviation schooling which reinforces Basair's reputation as Sydney's premier flying institution.”
